    The procedures for Halal certificate:

    - Step 1: Submitting the application form 

    Application form includings: 

    • - QF03.01.Application Form 

    • - QF03.01B. List of ingredients - addtives - chemicals. 

     Note: The organization applying Halal Certification need to understand the intending exporting market to select the proper certification scheme among 3 certification schemes provided: 
    - JAKIM Malaysia 
    - MUI Indonesia 
     - GCC


    - Step 2: Inform the certification fee and sign the certification contract 
     HCA reviews the application form and inform the organization of the certification fee. 
    The certification contract shall be signed after two parties agree on the agreement of the contract


    - Step 3: Stage 1 Audit
     Purpose of Stage -1 Audit is to evaluate the availability of applying Halal Standard for proceeding to Stage – 2 audit 
     
     List of requested documents for Stage -1 audit includes: 
      a) Flow chart of processing; 
     b) Quality Control Plan ( or HACCP Plan if have) 
     c) Record of certified products (including: Specification, test report) 
      d) Record of ingredients-addtives-chemical (including its compostion, flow chart of processing or Halal Certificate (if any) 
     Note: Halal Certificate shall be accepted if the certificate was issued by Halal Certification Body which has been accredited by one of three organization: JAKIM Malaysia, MUI Indonesia, GAC (GCC Accreditation Center) or issued by JAKIM – Malaysia, MUI  - Indonesia 

     e) Other Quality Management System Certificate if has been appliedFlow chart of processing 
     The Stage-1 Audit can be conducted at on site of manufacture in some cases. 

     HCA shall audit the requested document and notify to the organization of document need to be supplied. Time for stage 1 audit is not exceeding 90 days from the time ready for stage 1 audit (meet all requirements: signed contract, the stage 1 document has sent already, paying 30% contract value). beyond this period, the application is considered invalid 


    - Step 4: Stage 2 Audit
    Purpose of Stage-2 audit is to evaluate the conformity of product with the halal requirement for issuing Halal certificate 


    - Step 5: Review report and issue of Halal certificate

    At the end of onsite audit, audit team prepares the audit report submitted to the client and HCA to review and make certification decisions. 
     In the case of nonconformity raised, the organization shall conduct the corrective action, send the corrective action report including evidences to HCA in a given time period 30 days form onsite audit. 
     HCA is responsible for reviewing the effectiveness of corrective actions.

    HCA submit the audit reports and accompanying evidences to Certification Committee to evaluate and ensure that the audit has been taken as required, due the process and the nonconformity (if any) has been effectively resolved on time before granting certification.
